These affordable utilitarian chic accessories from MYTAGALONGS have a clean and functional design. Because they are compact and very light, they are great for travel and carrying around on a daily basis. The combined weight of the 5 items is 378 g.  The heaviest item, the wristlet, weighs 99 g. Dimensions for each product have been provided below. The materials feel durable and the zippers work smoothly.

 A Closer Look

1) Eyeglasses Case 4/5

Eye Glasses Case Dimensions

Dimensions: 16 cm x 7 cm (see picture for height)

My reading and various sunglasses fit very comfortably in this case along with a cloth for cleaning glasses. The shell is not completely hard as you can squeeze it and there is some give but it offers good protection. The microfiber-like texture of the case feels nice and soft.

2) Tech Organizing Pouch 4/5

Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 15 cm

I had initially opted for the smaller Charger Case – Plug In which has more compartments but the Velcro was the deal breaker for me as Velcro can ruin your clothes and should you need to retrieve something from the pouch during a meeting, it makes it difficult to be discreet (it’s even less discreet than the face you make when you yawn with your mouth closed and your eyes open while trying to look like you are not yawning). The Tech Organizing Pouch is a good size (not too big), has two zippered compartments and holds everything I need it to: a laptop charger, notebook, pen, phone charger and wall adapter, and Well-Kept wipes (side note: these do a great job of cleaning tech screens and eye glasses – they are available at sephora.com).

3) Earbud Case 4/5

Dimensions: 10 cm x 6.5 cm

The case is the perfect size if you only need to carry around earphones and a USB charger cable. It can accommodate a small wall charger adapter but it is a tight squeeze.

Bonus mini review for those curious about the retractable charger cable pictured. I purchased it from Amazon because I grew tired of wire spaghetti but would not recommend this one. The “retractability” part of the product works well – my toddler pulled the cord right out and then tried to “fix” it herself, tangling it up in process but I was able to set it straight with not too much hassle and it still functions well from that perspective. However, it does not do its job of charging very well. If I move my phone while it is supposed to be charging, the connection breaks and I have to fiddle with it to get it charging again. There have been a few instances where I have left it to charge only to return to find my phone not charged. I only use it if I am charging my phone while working on my computer and can keep an eye on it. It also seems to charge very slowly. If you have a good one to recommend, please leave the details in the comments section below. Thank you!

Back to the Earbud Case: unfortunately, it does not fit my Bluetooth earphones (Mpow Antelope Bluetooth 4.1 Wireless Sports Headphones) along with its charger. I like to keep the two together so am using the Skip Hop Grab & Go Pacifier Pocket (see below right) instead.

4) Silicone Beach Clutch 3/5

Dimensions: 20 cm x 4 cm

The clutch is handy for cash, coins and keys. The website and product tag describe it as waterproof but I would say it is splash proof as you cannot submerse it in water without getting the inside wet. There is a small gap at each end of the zipper closure.

5) Splash Proof Pouch 3/5mytagalongs

Dimensions:

Large: 28.5 cm x 22.5 cm

Small: 19 cm x 14 cm

I like the aesthetic of the pouches and that you can see at a glance what’s inside. A top zipper which runs along the seam would make it quicker and easier to get things in and out of the pouch. With the current zipper placement you need to tuck longer items under the portion above the zipper in order to close the pouch. One of the reasons I had purchased this set of pouches is that the plastic is touch screen sensitive so that you can use your phone while it is enclosed in the pouch. I can type while my phone is in the pouch but the home button (I have an iPhone 7) does not work – this is disappointing as it defeats the purpose. It does work for iPhones 4 and 6 (tested it with the phones of friends) and with a Samsung phone.

Of the 5 products, I am getting the most use out of the eyeglasses case, earbud case, and tech pouch.
